Baxter is a diversified, global healthcare company that develops
products and therapies to make a meaningful difference to the lives of
people with haemophilia, kidney disease, immune disorders and other
chronic and acute conditions.
Established in 1931, the company employs nearly 47,000 people in countries around the world.
A critical project
The report into Healthcare services by Lord Darzi signalled a sea
change in the approach taken to the provision of Healthcare in the
United Kingdom. Baxter Healthcare’s reach into many therapy areas meant
that it required a greater understanding of the impact of not only Lord
Darzi’s report, but the general trend towards more provision for
healthcare in the community setting. 37point5, after consultation with
directors, formulated an ambitious project to assess 5 key therapy
areas as well as a detailed analysis of primary care commissioning and
the current community care landscape.The project required detailed desk
based analysis of each area of concern that entailed the review of some
100 documents from a wide range of sources.
Extensive interviews
with key figures within each area at a national, regional an local
level were then conducted to ascertain the market behaviour to care
deliver mechanisms. Reports on each key area were then provided
amounting to some 150 pages of detailed analysis.
